Peace of Mind – What will 2017 have in store?

Are you mentally prepared for 2017?

If not, then you’re not alone…

It seems that lots of individuals might not be mentally prepared for what 2017 might have in store for them. There will be a lot of new obstacles and challenges waiting for us. What’s a life without anything challenging you? A boring life. Yet, it’s extremely exhausting when you constantly feel like you’ve hit rock bottom. You may even start to question yourself  like “What the f**k? When will I be able to be on top again?“. That’s completely normal; You are not alone.

2016 seemed to be the most life changing year for almost everyone that I know. Personally for me, I gave birth to my first child. Having a child truly changed me for the better. Truthfully speaking, if I would’ve never had a child then I probably would’ve been clutching to a pole, bouncing what my mama gave me at Sin City (a strip club in New York) for some ones. That stripper money would’ve been pretty useful though.

Let me go into further details…

Let me share my very own personal story about my unstable experience with the oh so wonderful life changing year of 2016. (It was not very wonderful please hint my horrible sarcasm.)

I got pregnant the summer of 2015 and gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl on March 29,2016. I was unable to enjoy the first few months of Motherhood due to everything stressing me out.  Mainly because I ended up being let go from my job of almost 3 years only a few months after giving birth. I was let go because I was unable to return back to work due to my daughter not being able to tolerate formula (it made her really sick) and refusing to latch on to bottles. So you know what that meant, I had no choice but to breastfeed. Of course I was super pissed about losing my only source of income but my daughter is important and she really needed me.

My daughter & I

Long story short, I was forced to become a Stay-At-Home-Mom. Being a Stay-At-Home-Mom is not that bad it’s just extremely frustrating that I have to mainly depend on my man to bring home the bacon. He’s been absolutely supportive, I’ve just always been independent and never really had to depend on anyone. I’ve tried the whole direct selling thingy such as becoming an “Avon Sales Representative” & that whole thing was just terrible, people only wanted free samples rather than actually making a purchase. That was the worst fail ever. Don’t do it, save your $15.00.

On a positive note, my daughter is now 8 months old, she’s still breastfed but she’s eating lots of other foods now. I’ve been receiving a ton of job offers but I had to kindly decline, due to her still refusing to drink out of a bottle. (She’s so stubborn like her mama, oh wait, that’s me.) It’s overwhelming at times but if I had to do it all again I definitely would! I’m currently working on a few awesome projects that I can’t wait to release to you guys. 2017 will not knock me down without a fight.

Let’s get back on topic…

I’ve had my share of ups and downs this year; I’m eager to see what 2017 has in store for me. If you’ve had more downs than ups this year then please don’t feel too bad, things will get better for you eventually. You just have to keep a positive mind and ignore all the negativity. If you don’t ignore the negativity then it will consume you.

Continue smiling.
