What you SHOULD be doing while in your twenties…
Your twenties should be the most exciting time of your life, but besides partying and getting sloppy drunk, it should also be the time where you decide to find out more about yourself. You should be discovering your talent, finding out your likes & dislikes, finding out what kind of career you would like to pursue, etc.
Discovering your talent is simply finding out what you are good at. (I.e. Can you draw, sing, write, etc? Stuff of that sort.) Finding out your likes & dislikes basically means that you will have to figure out all of the things that you can and cannot tolerate. The sooner you find out your likes & dislikes then the sooner you will find out what type of people you would like to be around.
(ALSO: That is also a great thing when it comes to finding yourself a boyfriend or girlfriend.)
Children in your twenties? A lot of people begin having children in their twenties. Having a child in your twenties will only make things slightly difficult because you have
to put them first before yourself. The good thing about children is that they will (***SHOULD***) be your motivation. It will not and should not stop you from achieving your dreams or goals. (
Unless…. you were already lacking motivation, or you are just plain lazy with no drive. )
Career seeking… When it comes to finding a career, I’m not talking about a regular ol’ 9am-5pm job. I’m talking about a real career like becoming a doctor, lawyer, cop, journalist, etc. Why is finding a career so important to do in your twenties? Simply because you do not want to be stuck at some
You want to be in a field that you actually have an interest in. You do not want to be in your 30’s, 40’s, or even 50’s, working a job that makes me feel unhappy or miserable. You want to wake up every morning or most mornings feeling happy about your job.
Your twenties are supposed to be about taking the initiative to go where you want to go. Travel about, surround yourself with positive individuals, enroll in school, work one or two ain’t-shit-jobs, save some money from those ain’t-shit-jobs, etc.
You have to…
DO WHATEVER THE HELL IT TAKES SO THAT BY THE TIME YOU ARE IN YOUR 30’S YOU WILL BE MENTALLY, PHYSICALLY, & FINANCIALLY PREPARED TO START YOUR CAREER & LIVE A PEACEFUL LIFE.
