My First Ipsy Glam Bag:

November Glam Bag Review

(Disclaimer: I was not compensated for writing this review. However, I did insert a referral link, so I could receive points. Any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.)

So let me tell you guys, my older sister is a huge makeup enthusiast. She is always signing up for a couple of pretty awesome makeup bag subscriptions, as well as always purchasing the most sought after makeup products. So long story short, my big sis introduced me to many things when it comes to the wonderful world of makeup.

My sister is the reason why I signed up for the Ipsy Glam Bag. She sent me a FREE Ipsy Glam Bag Subscription Link. Everyone who knows me, knows that I love a great deal or really good discount. The lawd has answered my prayers. I have always wanted to purchase the Ipsy Glam Bag monthly subscription but you see the way my bank account was set up….lol. I could not afford it.

I could not afford it for numerous reasons, the main reason being that I am a full time homemaker (in other words, a stay at home mom). I am also extremely bougie and that is what makes my struggle sooooo real. No, seriously… the struggle is real, honey. Especially since, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee nice things.

Anyways let’s continue talking about my first time Ipsy Glam Bag experience. I was thrilled when I found out that my Ipsy Glam Bag arrived and was inside of my boyfriend’s mail box. I put my daughter on my hip and hurried down those steps. I even did a little dance and even hit a milly rock one time for ya! (HeheheNo… Just kidding, I cannot dance. I am a tin man…. or in this case, a melanated tin WO-MAN.)

For my November bag I received:

  • Nomad Cosmetics: Multi-Perfection Duo Brow Powder in Firenze Brillante

  • Jonteblu: Lip Liner Pencil in Spice

  • It Cosmetics: Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ in Deep

  • Tarte: Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Feisty.

  • The White Company: White Lavender Body Lotion

My personal review:

The It Cosmetics: Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ in Deep was a perfect match for my skintone. It’s a liquid concealer, it blended in my skin perfectly. I was surprised at how flawless it looked in my HD photographs. I have never used this brand before but they have just gained a new customer. I really recommend that you guys go out and purchase this awesome product.

The Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Fiesty was not a good shade for me. It made me look like an extra from “The Walking Dead“, so I quickly wiped it off of my face. Don’t get me wrong, Tarte is an amazing brand but that shade was a big NO NO for me.

Here is me with some of the Ipsy Glam Bag products on my face. I used Cover Fx foundation in N100, Elf: Mad for Mad Palette for eyeshadow, Kiss Cosmetics Lashes. Follow me on my personal instagram: www.instagram.com/OfficialShakiema

The Jonteblu: Lip Liner Pencil in Spice was freaking horrid! It did not suite me. I even tried adding a brown lip liner around my lips and it still turned out to be horrible. I left it on my lips so I can show you guys a photo. If you are a sister of darker complexion like myself, please do not buy this shade. It will NOT come out nice.

The Nomad Cosmetics: Multi-Perfection Duo Brow Powder in Firenze Brillante was kind of okay. I’m not a makeup artist, I really do not know how I am supposed to use it. I read the box and it said to “apply under the brow“. I applied it under my brow and blended a bit, in my photo you cannot really tell I have it on, but it did not look as bad as I expected. Thank the lawd.

I have not used The White Company: White Lavender Body Lotion yet but it smells absolutely amazing.

Overall…

My first time Ipsy Glam Bag experience was pretty cool. I just hope that they send me more products that suit my complexion.

I give this month’s bag a 3.5 star.
