Embrace Your Achievements – Forget Negative Thoughts

Embrace Your Achievements

Forget Negative Thoughts:

Can we start acknowledging the achievements in our life and stop focusing on the negatives?

In life we all experience many failures but you should not let that keep you down! Let’s start embracing the things that you did accomplish. It could be anything.

For example:

  • Graduating school
  • Getting a job
  • Overcoming an addiction

The list goes on.

No matter how big or how small it was, let’s embrace it.

In today’s world, everyone wants to focus on the negative things. My question is….Why? You will not get anywhere by filling your mind up with toxic thoughts. You should not let anything cloud your vision. We all have a purpose here in life, we should start living like we do.

People also like to focus on the flaws of others. My mother always said “worry about yourself.” Here is a little deeper moral of that quote, if you do not focus on yourself, you will begin to lose yourself. Especially since you are too busy worrying about what other people are doing with their lives.

You have your own life to live, everyone is not perfect, we all have flaws and imperfections. If you are out here believing that you do not have any flaws then you are sadly mistaken.

Yes! I will repeat SADLY MISTAKEN!

Anyway, let me jump right back on track.

Too many people are thinking about the negative outcomes rather than the positive outcomes that they have received.

Here’s an example:

You just got a job as a custodian, it’s minimum wage, and it is only part time. Instead of being happy you got the job, you are mad because:

  • it is a custodian job
  • it pays a small amount
  • they will not give you more hours

Totally ignoring the fact that getting a job was your biggest accomplishment of the year. Instead of being angry about all of the bad things about the job, you should be proud of yourself for getting the job.

That example is great because way too many people would focus on the negative parts rather than appreciating the positive.

In order to start embracing our achievements, we should start appreciate all of our blessings that we receive. We should start being proud of ourselves. Any accomplishment, no matter how big or how small should be appreciated and we should feel good.

This rant was long overdue.

I am so sick and tired of hearing people complain about everything, it’s like…. do you not have anything good going on in your life? I’m pretty sure that you do. You either don’t realize it, or are too focused on the negatives to even embrace it.

Be proud – Be happy – Achievements are a good thing – We should start believing that.
