Thank You Mom:
6 Reasons Why You Should Be Thankful For Your Mother:
Moms. There are no species quite as amazing, wonderful, caring, generous and magnificent as moms. They are impossibly amazing.
- They’re the people who are always there no matter what the occasion or what emotions we might be feeling.
- They’re there to share a laugh, wipe our tears, remind us everything will be okay, to keep pushing on, to step away, to jump into this with two feet and steer clear of that at all costs.
Sure, they have their flaws and imperfections, but even these can’t detract from that aura they have.
They are perfect.
Unfortunately, we sometimes take them for granted. We accidentally take advantage of their presence and forget to thank them for all of the little things they have done, keep doing and will probably always do for us; things that help us become the person we are today.
That’s why we need to say thank you.
It’s why we need to go out of our way to give them a big thank you squeeze, take them out for dinner, surprise them with flowers, treat them to some mothers day hairstyles, shock them with tickets to their favorite band and do that something special that reminds them how special they are to you.
Like I said, moms are amazing. To remind you of this, here are some of the things you might want to say thank you for when you next call home or visit your home.
Here’s a list of 6 amazing reasons why you should be thankful for your mother:
It may sound a bit silly, but on a more serious note, you know dang well that you’re thankful for the clean clothes. Thank you for being the ultimate laundry legend.
My mom always made sure that my 5 siblings and I never went out in dirty clothes. She would literally get up before dawn to sort clothes and then would drag our laundry down to the local laundromat every Sunday. She made sure that the laundry was done in time. Even after all of that, she would have our clothes ironed and set out for school the following day.
That was long before I even knew what a washing machine was.
Thank you for being the greatest cook this side of New York City. Even when she was tired, she would wake up and put breakfast on the table.
We never went without food. Aside from regular food, our pantry would be loaded with our favorite snacks. My mother would also make the meanest sandwiches. As well as always having dinner on the table every night like clockwork.
If you know me personally then you already know who makes the best SWEET POTATO PIE, MY MOTHERRRRRRRR!
Dr.Phil… oh no wait, Dr. Mom –
Thank you for the sunny disposition you gave me, for helping me see the best in people. You always find the silver lining in every situation and encourage me to get the most out of every occasion.
All of the advice, the suggestions and recommendations to shape me into the person that I am today. I am so very thankful and grateful.
Prioritizing Me –
Thank you for putting me before you.
Actually, thank you for putting every one of us before you.
For being utterly selfless, for giving up what you wanted to do so we could have everything we needed to chase our dreams. Thank you for the selfless sacrifices.
Moms make daily sacrifices and those daily sacrifices should not go unnoticed. Appreciate it!
It’s some moms out here that do not put their children first. No… scratch that! It’s some parents out here that satisfy their own needs before their children needs. It is sad but it’s true, it happens way too often!
Ultimate Mood Swing Dodger –
Thank you for never taking my mood swings personally, for knowing that I vented to you because you’re the only person in the world that will never judge me, and for shouldering all the things that come with those Monday’s – the yelling, the crying, the things I never meant and the things you should never have had to put up with.
Thank you for doing all the jobs that you do, from the around the clock, never sleeping job of being mom to the other jobs you somehow managed to fit in.
Thank you for looking after me in the middle of the night after a bad dream, for rummaging through the medicine cabinet at four in the morning, for ridding my room of monsters and giving up your sleep for mine.
Appreciate your mothers, you only get one!
There are plenty of people in this world that no long have a living mother and would do anything in their power to get their mother back.
Therefore, you should always show your appreciation and show your mother how thankful you are for her presence.
